One of the great things about the slot car hobby today is how many awesome resources are available, including literally hundreds--if not thousands--of fun and educational videos that show you how to get the most out of the hobby. Whether it's the latest news, ideas on track layouts and scenery-making, racing tips or scratch building, chances are you'll find a video about it. What we've attempted to do here is collect a number of YouTube channels we have found that can point you in the right direction and provide you with hours of enjoyment as well as helpful information.
Note that the channels featured are simply in the order that we discovered them--some have been around for a while and some are relatively new. If you're into 1:32 slot cars, be sure to check them out!

John Kit has a lot of fun with his slot cars, and it's pretty safe to say that he'd like you to have fun with them, too. John's Scale Car Garage videos on his Fast Sports channel covers his interest in racing as a pastime (he is a trained sports car racer) but his videos primarily focus on 1:32 slot cars. His subjects range from how to mold figures and car bodies, scratch-building projects, and creating buildings and scenery for your track. Some people just like to race their slot cars, and are content to drop some track on a table or the carpet, hand you a controller and say "go!" That's not Boone. He has the scenic skills normally associated with model railroaders, and is only too happy to show you how to do your track up right. From making guard rails and catch fences to the finer points of pavement, he shows you how to get outstanding results, step-by-step. While this level of detail may not be for everybody, he demonstrates that having a great looking track doesn't have to be expensive. Above all, he is a real craftsman. Aside from being one of the better-known news, reviews and information sites covering slot cars, and the home of one of the hobby's most popular forums, Home Racing World has its own YouTube channel where you can enjoy all kinds of racing and tuning tips, in addition to helpful product reviews. They feature build project for both 1:32 and 1:24 scale cars, as well as other technical know how. Test Track is a regular Scalextric video fetaure highlighting their entire range of products, including their micro scalextric range and their many toy-oriented sets. Still, there's lots of valuable information to be found, especially about their newest 1:32 products and technical help for their advanced systems like ARC Air and ARC Pro, including tips on how to set them up and update the firmware. Featuring product unboxings and previews from many manufacturers, tech tips and other helpful info, the channel also includes episodes highlighting vintage cars and some slot car history, too. Marty has not been into slot cars as long as a lot of other YouTubers, but he's jumped in with both feet and has managed to learn a lot in a relatively short period of time. His enthusiasm about the hobby is contagious, and he does a great job of explaining his approach to the hobby as well as interviewing other enthusiasts who drop in on his weekly video chats. He's amassed a large collection of cars in a very short amoutn of time and has devoted himself to expanding the slot car community.
